After months of planning, designing, programming, and research here we are!  Welcome to Charleston’s Ultimate Wedding Resource.  Balanced Bride was created with one thought in mind, what does the bride need?  There are so many sites that have tons of information, but it’s too much info, too distracting when you are actually trying to plan a wedding.  I loved visiting all the big sites when I was in my dreaming stage, but when it came to actually being engaged and planning a wedding they were not helpful at all.   I wanted a list of all my options, not just the vendors that paid to be on that site.  There are over 150 places to get married in Charleston! I also didn’t want to get five phone calls deep just to learn they were all out of business or the source I used was outdated.  After my planning process I decided, the heck with this, let’s do this right.  And so began the concept for Balanced Bride. A simple, clean way find what I was looking for.

I offend ask brides what they want in a wedding website.  So of course I had to ask myself too.  I would have loved to have been able to talk to someone who used the same venue as me.  What did she like? What didn’t she like? How did she set up her room?  What would she have changed?  I can tell you right now, I have two things from my wedding I would have done differently.  Nothing major, but I will be sure to tell future brides my highlights and let downs.  We currently have 100 brides signed up (and to think we just went live) that were married here in the Lowcountry, they are ready and willing to share their experiences and their knowledge.
